Taking children to a restaurant/pub can be hard work if they're not entertained, I've worked in hospitality - children want to run the room and climb the furniture!
Yes some businesses do have colouring pages or spaces on their menus but how many times have you been in to a restaurant and they 'have none left' or they just don't provide them?
Whilst working at a pub we had children's menus with small colouring areas on the back, these never changed the whole 5 years I worked there and I thought that must be boring if you are a repeat customer which is what you want as a business right? The other issue we had was that they were costly to keep buying in as they were full coloured menus once you had the budget to repurchase the supplier would run out so you simply had nothing ...
and that is where it all began!
I created my own colouring pages and then activity sheets so it was more than just colouring, to make sure every age group was entertained from one sheet. I was asked to create custom activity sheets for a UK restaurant chain, that changed every month so the repeat visit with kids were not boring.
These are highly cost effective for the businesses as they are black and white you print as many as you want and when you need them, no minimum quantities, no storage and leftovers and most importantly no running out!
A simple way to keep smaller guests entertained, encourage repeat visits all with minimum costing to the business.
From there I was recommended to list on Etsy to reach other businesses that would like to use my sheets ... I introduced personalised sheets for birthday parties and it took off from there!
I have always been creative but the sheets reignited my love for drawing and colouring, I moved on to draw adult colouring pages and have recently began to create my own stationery lines.
My sheets and colouring pages are being printed and used in over 35 different countries worldwide!
